Experience in Zoologicum Bogoriense Museum

Okay so, I had a trip to LIPI Bogor along with my class. Here I was taken to two subject of science : Zoology and Microbiology. I'm going to tell some of my experience in in Zoology, since this post was made to complete my homework *duh..

It was a long long night I had, driving and sailing and another long drive to LIPI Bogor straight from Bandar Lampung. That morning we arrived and welcomed by a building built on a vast ground with nobody to show us where to go. We had our guide of course, but seriously?nothing?. I went to a bathroom for a while and get back to walk pretty far from where the bus parked just to get to the conference room.

As I walk in, a stink smell of a wet carpet was welcoming me willingly. It was okay since I'm not the only one smelling it. The whole room is. But aside from that, the room was nice and decorated. A wooden plank was planted in the wall (maybe for decoration purposes) and the air conditioner worked perfectly. Everybody gets their seat while I'm just standing there watching the whole event and I realise that where should I sit? So I walked up to the front and sit my bum's down. But then again I was kicked out because the seat was for the tutor. Huh.. Neverthless I got my seat and we are all waiting for someone to come up front and speak. So there come an Old man, looking confused and enthused at the same time. He then told us that he is not the one who should do the presentation today, but still he present the power point to us confusingly..

From the small presentation I can only conclude that Zoologicum Bogoriense Museum was built on August 1894 with an older version name called Landbouw Zoologisch. It is now 120 years old and have changed it name 12 times to what it's called now. A lot of specimen is being kept here, wich is guarded very tightly by a number of locks and doors.

After the small presentation we're separated in groups to have a tour to each room containing different animals in each. Well.. it was amazing. Even though the people work there seem a little bit confuse or a little bit..you know what I mean.. but I conclude that they have a brilliant mind and a diligent hand. There are so many animals (dead) being kept in a store room. Looking so creepily cool and freakingly intelligent. The tour was a bit tiring but not boring at all.

Here are some picture I snap:
